|Form Factor||Full size mSATA|
|Interface||SATA III 6 Gb/s|
The 256GB Premier Pro SP310 mSATA Internal SSD from ADATA Technology is a solid-state drive with an mSATA interface that utilizes a SATA III 6 Gb/s connection, MLC NAND flash memory, and a JMicron JMF-667 Series controller. It can be used as a standalone drive for fast boot and load times, or as a cache drive in conjunction with a standard hard drive. As a cache drive, you'll be able to expect speeds close to that of a solid-state drive yet with the large capacity offered by a HDD. Since SSDs are constructed without any moving parts, they can endure more and perform faster than a conventional hard drive. By itself, the SP310 delivers read and write speeds of 540 MB/s and 280 MB/s respectively. Install this drive into any standard mSATA slot and configure it as needed.
Broad Hardware Compatibility
The SP310 is a small and light mSATA drive that's compatible with most systems that have a mSATA slot. For more detailed information on compatible hardware, please check the specifications of your system or motherboard to see if it has the appropriate slot.
Standalone Drive or Cache Drive
By itself, the SP310 is a fast and efficient solid-state drive that will cut down boot and file access times; however, it can also be used as a cache drive for speeds close to that of a solid-state drive with the storage of a large mechanical hard drive.
Intel Smart Response Technology
Intel Smart Response Technology is an option found in Z68 chipsets (Sandy Bridge series processors), which allows a SATA solid-state drive to function as cache for a standard mechanical hard drive. After installing the SSD, enter BIOS to enable "PCM Control Mode", and then run the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software once booted into Windows.
